Ramlet El Bayda Cleanup

Ongoing beach restoration and cleanup efforts to protect marine life and ensure safe, public access to the city's remaining sandy beach.

July 2026 - Beirut Coastline

In July 2026, we will carry out a cleanup campaign at Ramlet El Bayda, one of Beirut's most important public coastal spaces. The campaign will bring together volunteers who will work side by side to collect waste, reduce pollution, and raise awareness about the importance of preserving shared natural spaces for the community.

Ramlet El Bayda is more than just a shoreline. It is a public space where people connect with the sea, spend time outdoors, and enjoy one of the few open coastal areas in the city. Protecting this space is essential for both the environment and the community, especially as coastal pollution continues to affect public areas, marine life, and the overall cleanliness of Lebanon's shoreline.

During the cleanup, volunteers will focus on removing litter from the area and supporting a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for visitors. The initiative will also highlight the importance of responsible waste disposal and encourage people to take better care of public spaces.
